THE SMALL PRINT

cookie policy.

This explains the cookies and similar tools we use on grainandglowuk.com, what they do and how you can control them. If you've got any questions, email us at hello@grainandglowuk.com.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website saves on your phone or computer so it can remember things about your visit. Your browser's local storage works in a similar way, so we've included that here too.

2. The ones we always use

These are needed for the site to work the way you'd expect, so they don't need your consent.

  • Your cookie choice. This remembers whether you've accepted or rejected optional cookies, so we don't ask you on every visit. It lasts for 12 months.
  • The offer bar. If you close the launch offer bar at the top of the site, we save that in your browser's local storage so it stays closed. It stays there until you clear your browser data.

3. The ones we only use if you say yes

We only turn these on if you accept them in our cookie banner. If you reject them, they're never set and the Google tags don't run.

Google Analytics shows us how many people visit, which pages they look at and how they found us, so we can make the site better. It doesn't tell us who you are.

  • _ga tells one visitor from another so we can count visits. It lasts 2 years.
  • _ga_ followed by our account ID keeps track of your current visit. It lasts 2 years.

Google Ads cookies help us see whether someone who clicked one of our ads went on to send us an enquiry, so we don't keep paying for ads that aren't working.

  • _gcl_au links a click on one of our ads to an enquiry made on our site. It lasts 90 days.
  • Google may also set its own cookies on its websites when you see or click our ads. You can read how Google uses them at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.

4. Changing your mind

  • You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
  • You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, but it won't remember things like whether you've closed the offer bar.

5. Other services we use

Our fonts load from Google Fonts. That doesn't set any cookies, but Google does receive your IP address so it can send the fonts to your browser.

6. More about your information

For more on how we look after your personal information, see our privacy policy. If you've got questions about cookies, email hello@grainandglowuk.com.
